This depression glass cup & saucer set is the Newport or Hairpin pattern. Made by Hazel Atlas during the 1930's, the color is amethyst, though Hazel Atlas called it 'Burgundy' in the original ads. These beautiful stems were designed by Reuben Haley and produced by the Consolidated Glass Company in the late 1920's. The pattern is called 'Five fruits' and is one of Consolidated's scarce tableware lines. The color is ruby flash applied over crystal glass. What makes this plate interesting is that the color is applied only to the outer edge of the plate, leaving the center crystal. This treatment was called 'rainbow' and is difficult to find...

This tumbler vase is part of the Martele Line produced by Consolidated Glass Company during the 1920's. The pattern is called 'Katydid', though it's usually referred to as the 'grasshopper' vase. 8 inches tall, the color of the glass is blue crystal. The Santa maria line was produced by Consolidated Glass Company in 1926 and items in this line are very difficult to find. Offered here is the #2566 Covered Cigarette Box in crystal. The cover depicts Columbus' flagship, the Santa Maria, while the bottom has dolphins on each side. Excellent condition. The original company ad reads, "Appeals to both men and women. Can be used for cigarettes or on a dresser or vanity to hold powder." (I keep tootsie rolls in mine....)
