Made in 1928, it's a wonderful pattern for the deco collector as well as glass lovers. This is the sherbet in French Crystal.(French Crystal is high polish figures against a satin finish background - named because of the Lalique quality this finish gives the glass.) Consolidated Glass Company produced their Florentine line in 1927. It is an acid etched all over pattern that is very hard to find. In fact, Florentine items are among the most difficult Consolidated pieces to collect. Offered here is the 12 inch urn vase in the coffee brown color. The pattern is called 'Bird Of Paradise' and is one of Consolidated's Martele patterns . Approximately 8 1/2 inches in diameter, the color is a sepia brown ceramic wash over crystal.
