This beautiful comport and liner plate was made by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the piece was produced in the late 1920's. The pattern is called 'Iris', though it looks like wild roses to me.... The comport or mayo bowl is approximately 5 1/2 inches in diameter, the under plate is 7 inches in diameter. These beautiful candlesticks were produced by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the set was produced in the late 1920's. The color is ruby flash applied over crystal glass. What makes this plate interesting is that the color is applied only to the outer edge of the plate, leaving the center crystal. This treatment was called 'rainbow' and is difficult to find...

Dancing Nymph is the correct name for this Consolidated pattern - it's sometimes called "Dance of the Nudes" due to listings in depression glass books under that name. Made in 1928, it's a wonderful pattern for the deco collector as well as glass lovers. This is the sherbet in French Crystal.(French Crystal is high polish figures against a satin finish background - named because of the Lalique quality this finish gives the glass.) Perfect condition...

The color is a light blue wash applied over crystal and then fired on to fuse it permanently to the surface of the glass. crystal.
