Stippled Band was the first toy dish pattern produced by Akro Agate. The transparent topaz color pictured here was only made in 1935-6 and is very difficult to find. This 16 piece set is the Small size Stippled Band and includes the teapot and lid, 4 plates, 4 cups & saucers, sugar & creamer. The Florentine pattern was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass Company from 1932 to 1935. It was made with scalloped edges or straight edges. Although Hazel Atlas didn't distinguish one from the other, collectors today call the scalloped edge 'Florentine 1' and the straight edge style 'Florentine 2'. This ashtray is my one and only piece of Phoenix Glass - and what a wonderful item it is! This is the #263 Phlox pattern ashtray in the Sculptured Crystal treatment. (crystal glass with a blue ceramic wash applied.) The ashtray is the 5 1/2 inch size - the larger and much harder to find of the two sizes that were made in this pattern. Produced in 1938, it's a rare find indeed! Excellent condition.
