Mayfair is one of the most sought after Depression Glass patterns. Produced by Hocking Glass from 1931 to 1936, it is often called Open Rose by collectors. This beautiful comport was made by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the piece was produced in the late 1920's. The pattern is called 'Five fruits' and is one of Consolidated's scarce tableware lines. This tumbler vase is part of the Martele Line produced by Consolidated Glass Company during the 1920's. The pattern is called 'Katydid', though it's usually referred to as the 'grasshopper' vase. 8 inches tall, the color of the glass is blue crystal. (The color is in the glass, not a wash applied over clear glass.) Excellent condition and very hard to find in this color.
