This powder jar was designed by Charles H. Oestreich of Brooklyn NY: the design was patented January 13, 1931. There is a pink elephant on the lid and the jar has an overall frosted finish. Excellent condition. See my other listings for more Depression era dresser items.

Although this pattern was officially named 'Sylvan' by Federal Glass Company, it has always been referred to by the collector's name, Parrot. It was produced for only one year, 1931-2, and is scarce today. Offered here is the 10 inch oval serving bowl in amber. There is some very light utensil markings in the bottom of the bowl, otherwise it's in excellent condition. See my other listings for more in this pattern.

This figural glass lamp was produced by L.E. Smith Company during the 1940's - 50's. The color was fired on over clear glass, giving the opaque blue finish. This style is the 'Ballerina' lamp. The base shows 2 dancers in classic ballet pose. I have 2 available, price is per lamp. All have been re-wired so they work fine. The shade clips on the light bulb. (Bulb not included, I recommend 25 or 40 watt bulbs so the glass doesn't get too hot.) All are in good shape.

The Octagonal Children's set is the most plentiful shape Akro Agate made. Offered here are cup & saucers and plates from the large size Octagonal set. Stippled Band was the first toy dish pattern produced by Akro Agate. These cup & saucer sets are the Small size transparent green color. Perfect condition, price is $30 per cup & saucer set. The Cube, or Cubist, pattern was made by Jeannette Glass Company from 1929 to 1933. It's often confused with Fostoria's American pattern and for good reason: both were designed by the same man. Yeoman is one of Heisey's earliest patterns and served as the 'blank' for many of their etchings. It was first produced in 1915. Offered here is the 8 oz goblet in pink. The Florentine pattern was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass Company from 1932 to 1935. It was made with scalloped edges or straight edges. Although Hazel Atlas didn't distinguish one from the other, collectors today call the scalloped edge 'Florentine 1' and the straight edge style 'Florentine 2'. Old Colony is the correct name for the pattern that collectors have always called 'Lace Edge'. It was produced by Hocking from 1935 to 1938. Offered here is the cup & saucer set in pink. Mayfair is one of the most sought after Depression Glass patterns. Produced by Hocking Glass from 1931 to 1936, it is often called Open Rose by collectors. Offered here is a rare piece of Cambridge Cleo. This is the #617 cigarette jar and dates prior to 1930. (It's shown in the 1927-9 catalog reprint.) The jar has a light paneled optic within the glass and stands approximately 4 inches high. Excellent condition on this rare and unusual Cambridge Cleo item.

Bead Chain fixtures were the standard ceiling fixture of the American home from the 1920’s through the 1940’s. The decorative glass shade hung from 3 bead chains, and could be adjusted up or down depending on the size of the room and height of the ceiling. The graceful Art Deco design of these fixtures makes them the perfect fit in today's homes.
This vintage 10 inch glass shade has a floral pattern that looks like chrysanthemums done in crystal against a pastel blue background...

The Manhattan pattern was produced by Hocking Glass Company from 1939 to 1941. Its clean, deco lines makes it very popular with today's collectors. Offered here is the center insert for the relish set in excellent condition. The center insert was only made in clear, even though the triangle side inserts come in crystal, ruby and pink. Note that the insert has vertical ridges around the base, not the balls that you typically see on footed Manhattan items. I have 3 available, price is per insert...
